Announced at the 2004 Paris Motor Show, the 5.9-litre V12 Vanquish S was the fastest Aston Martin production car, with a top speed of more than 200 mph. Its body design had been revised to cope with the extra performance, with a redesigned radiator grille to improve cooling and a raised tail that reduced rear end lift. The Vanquish S was the final Aston Martin to be built at Newport Pagnell, with the last of 50 ‘Ultimate Edition’ cars coming off the line in July 2007.
