7 June 2018, Gaydon: Aston Martin President and CEO Dr Andy Palmer has been presented with a prestigious L.E.A.D.E.R. award at the Automotive News Europe Congress dinner.
The L.E.A.D.E.R. award stands for Leaders in European Automotive Development, Excellence and Research. The annual L.E.A.D.E.R. award recognises those in the industry who exemplify product development, achievements and dedication to the European automotive sector.
Palmer was presented with the award in recognition of the British brand’s ‘Second Century’ plan. A comprehensive plan that will drive the growth of the business by replacing every car in the current range, adding up to three model lines and entering segments new to the company.
Aston Martin’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Andy Palmer said: “2018 continues to be a tremendous year for Aston Martin, with this award further proof of our successful transformation plan. The Second Century Plan is gaining momentum: the DB11 has achieved sell-out demand, the new Vantage was revealed to critical acclaim and with the imminent launch of the DBS Superleggera, we are on track to replace each of our existing two-door sportscar models by the end of this year.
“The pride and the trust in the Aston Martin brand starts with our employees and spreads out to our customers, our racing teams, our dealers and our loyal fans, and I would like to dedicate this award to them.”
